This artificial hair consists of sheath core type fibers obtained by arranging a component A consisting of a polyamide resin containing a protein-crosslinked gel as a core part and a component B consisting of a polyamide-based resin as a sheath part. The content of the protein-crosslinked gel in the component A is in 5-20 wt. % range, and the weight ratio of the component A to the component B is in (A/B)=(1.5/8.5)-(8.5/1.5) range.
