Abstract:

To provide a heat-shrinkable nonwoven fabric having a high heat-shrinking property and also being easily produced, and a method for producing the same.

This heat-shrinkable nonwoven fabric is obtained by stretching fiber assemblies in which filaments consisting of a thermoplastic resin are aligned in an almost one direction, by 2-4 fold in the aligning direction of the filaments at a stretching temperature lower than that suitable for stretching, or laminating two sheets of nonwoven fabrics aligned in one direction by crossing the filament-aligned directions at right angle each other.
