Abstract:
To provide an artificial lightweight foamed material which is obtained by using, as a raw material, a fused slag generated from a high pressure melting furnace, especially a coal gasification furnace, and to provide an artificial lightweight filler comprising the same.
The artificial lightweight filler is obtained by firing the fused slag, being a raw material, generated from the high pressure melting furnace, especially the coal gasification furnace so as to foam it, preferably so as to make its specific gravity in oven-dried condition to be ≤2.0.
