Abstract:
To provide an asbestos melting apparatus detoxifying asbestos by highly efficiently and uniformly heating the asbestos to a vitrification temperature and melting it.
The asbestos melting apparatus include a melting furnace 1 melting the waste asbestos. The melting furnace 1 includes upper and lower burners 3a, 3b heating the waste asbestos and coke to the vitrification temperature, the upper and lower burners 3a, 3b have a plurality of nozzles radially arranged around a furnace axis on a furnace wall of the melting furnace 1. The upper and lower burners 3a, 3b are fed with pure oxygen, the waste asbestos is heated and melted by burning the pure oxygen from the nozzles to be molten slug 7.
