PURPOSE:To increase the joint width with a cam shaft and permit the automatic center adjustment by fitting a hollow shaft into the shaft hole of a cam and inclining the side surface of the cam so as to have the wider width towards the shaft hole when the cam and the cam shaft are jointed by the pressurized oil in the hollow shaft. CONSTITUTION:A cam 3 through which a cam shaft 2 penetrates is formed gradually wider towards a cam shaft penetration hole from the cam surface. When the hollow cam shaft 2 is inserted into the cam 3 and fixed, each cam 3 is set into the groove of a lower metal mold 12, and the hollow cam shaft is inserted into the shaft hole of the cam 3. When an upper metal mold 11 is loaded, the cam 3 is shifted to a prescribed position by the inclined surface of the side surface of the cam 3, even if the position of the cam 3 is a little deflected when the cam 3 is fitted into the groove for the cam which is formed onto the upper metal mold, and automatic center adjustment is permitted. Then, the high pressure oil is supplied into the hollow cam shaft, and the strong fastening of the cam 3 is permitted by the expansion of the shaft. Since the width of the cam to be jointed is large, the joint force is increased.
