Abstract:
To provide a coffin whose strength in a lengthwise direction is sufficiently secured and which is made to be foldable into a compact state to improve workability in storing and carrying the coffin.SOLUTION: A corrugated cardboard coffin 1 includes latch plates 14 fixed at front and back ends of a tiltable side plate 13, the latch plates extending inward in a right and left direction to face each other in a front and back direction of the coffin. On the coffin outside of a bottom box 12 and a latch plate 14, an end plate 15 for supporting the side plate in a standing state is fixed with a screw member. Before the corrugated cardboard coffin 1 is assembled, the latch plate 14 is stored in an escape space S when the side plate 13 is tilted to the inside of the coffin. When the corrugated cardboard coffin 1 is assembled, a nest part 15a of the end plate 15 is stored in the escape space S in a state in which the end plate 15 is disposed on the coffin outside of the bottom box 12 and the latch plate 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
