Abstract:
A windscreen wiper unit 10, in which the wiper arm 12 contains a lengthened arm element 16 with an inner end component which is seated in a sleeve 18 and whose outer end component is rotatably connected at 20 to the centre part of the wiper blade 14, and in which the wiper blade 14 has at least one surface or such a surface is attached to it, which surface extends along the wiper blade and has a face which, during operation, has an effect which counteracts the lifting off of the wiper blade from the surface of the windscreen, such as for example wings 28, is characterised in that, between the sleeve 18 and the outer end of the wiper arm element, a section 32 is located directly next to one of the wings 28 on the wiper blade and presents its undersurface 36, the face 36 being bounded by front and rear longitudinal edges, the rear longitudinal edge 38 being located during operation, with respect to a stream lifting it off from the windscreen, farther from the said windscreen than the front edge, and in that the wiper arm is either directly attached on the wiper blade or lies laterally next to the wiper blade.
