Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an eye lotion effective for recovery of asthenopia caused by overwork of eyes or psychentonia.
SOLUTION: This lotion is mainly composed of a sterilized pure water and 0.1-1wt.% taurine and 0.005-0.05wt.% menthol. Neostigmine methylsulfate in an amount of 0.001-0.005wt.% is added to the lotion, as necessary, and inorganic salts is dissolved in an amount of an osmotic pressure of the lotion to be 250-450mOsm, then pH is adjusted to 5-8 by borax or other pH controller. Furthermore, in addition to the above components, antiphlogistic, vitamins or amino acid, etc., can be suitably mixed. The lotion exhibits an improving effect superior to a usual eye lotion containing neostigmine methylsulfate used as a pint controller or VB12 used for recovery to asthenopia caused by overwork of eyes such as a VDT work, a reading, a watching work or psychentonia.
