Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent background fog by providing an opaque recording layer containing a developer represented by a specific formula wherein a phenolic hydroxyl group having developing function is blocked by an N-substituted carbamoyl group, a leuco dye, a metal salt of an org. or inorg. acid and a light absorber.
CONSTITUTION: A recording layer containing a urethane type blocked developer represented by the specific formula wherein at least one of phenolic hydroxyl groups having developing function is blocked by an N-substituted carbamoyl group [-(C=O)NHR1], a leuco dye reacting with the developer such as crystal violet lactone, a metal salt of an org. or inorg. acid such as a metal salt of o-benzoylbenzoic acid or ferric chloride and a light absorber absorbing light to convert the same to heat is provided. In the specific formula, R is a substituted or non-substituted aryl group, R1 is a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, a alkyl halide group, a benzyl group or a tosyl group and a and b are integers of 1-3.
