Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atomic resonant transition device and an atomic oscillator that improve long-term frequency stability by preventing or suppressing a change with time in the amount of magnetization of a shield part by a magnetic field from an exciting coil, and provide a reliable electronic apparatus and mobile body equipped with the atomic resonant transition device.SOLUTION: An atomic oscillator 1 of the present invention includes: an alkali metal; an exciting coil (coil 35) for applying a DC magnetic field to the alkali metal; a shield part shielding the alkali metal from an external magnetic field; a power supply 4 capable of simultaneously generating a direct current and an alternating current attenuated with time; and a demagnetizing coil (coil 35) supplied with the direct current and the alternating current to generate a demagnetizing field, in which a DC magnetic field component and an AC magnetic field component attenuated with time are superimposed together, for demagnetizing the shield part.
