Title:
AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL FOR CURRENT-CARRYING ELECTRIC PARTS, AND FUEL CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3397169
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an austenitic stainless steel for current-carrying electric parts, minimal in contact electric resistance, and to provide a separator composed of the stainless steel, and a solid-electrolyte-type fuel cell having the separator.
SOLUTION: The austenitic stainless steel has a composition containing, by weight, 0.015-0.2% C. 0.01-1.5% Si. 0.01-2.5% Mn, 17-30% Cr, 7-50% Ni, 0-3% Cu, 0-0.3% N, 0-7% Mo, and 0-0.2% Al and satisfying Cr+3Mo=17 to 50%, and further, the content of C precipitating as a Cr carbide and the total content of C in the steel satisfy inequality (content (wt.%) of C precipitating as Cr carbide)×100/(total C content (wt.%) in the steel-0.012%)≥85. A fuel cell 1 is provided with a separator 5 composed of the stainless steel.
