PURPOSE: To perform work such as opening of cover of an empty box, insertion of a container, insertion of an accessory, and closing of a cover in a totally automated manner.

CONSTITUTION: An automatic boxing device for containers such as amplules includes a container feed device 1 for feeding containers in one row, an arranging device 2 for arranging the containers being fed in one row into a plurality of rows, an empty box feed device 3 for feeding the stacked empty boxes one by one, a cover opening device 4 for opening the cover of the empty box supplied from the device 3, and a flap opening device 5 for opening the flap of the empty box with its cover opened. Further, there are provided a container insertion device 6 for putting at a time the containers in an arranged state into the box with its cover and flap opened, an accessory insertion device 7 for inserting accessory such as advertisement into the box, a flap closing device 8 for closing the flap of the box containing therein the containers and advertisement, and a cover closing device 9 for closing the cover of the box whose flap has been closed.
