PURPOSE: To enable always the good caulking of a lens and improve an operation efficiency, automatizing a caulking operation, by combining the rotating mechanism opening and closing a collet chuck and the press mechanism for caulking.

CONSTITUTION: The rotating mechanism opening and closing a collet chuck is moved up and down via the puller post 4 which connects the collet chuck 1 to be opened and closed freely to a rod and also is rotated via the belt 9 wound around the V-pulleys 7 and 30. In the meantime on the press mechanism for caulking the up-and-down movement of a caulking roll pin 20 is performed by the up-and-down movement of the rod connected to a caulking cylinder 35 via the press shaft 33 and the cylinder knuckle 34 connected to a press female pattern 28, further the decision of a caulking depth and the position of a pin 20 is performed by a microhead 25 and a caulking head 23.
