Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a carriage to follow up a curve in a cutting and welding device mounted with a torch on a portable automatic traveling carriage by using a flexible material for the guide rail of the carriage.
CONSTITUTION: An automatic traveling carriage 1 is run by an electric motor to guide a cutting or welding torch 2 on the carriage 1. A guide roller device 7 having two guide pinch rollers 8 at two points on the front and rear of the body of the carriage is provided. A tube-like rail 9 having flexibility is held on, for example, a steel plate to be cut, by a coupling fixture 10 contg. a magnet. The rail 9 is sandwiched between the rollers 8 and 8 and when the carriage 1 is run, the torch 2 is guided along the rail 9.
