To provide an automatic door sensor, capable of surely detecting an object existing in a prescribed area near the automatic door, and improving reliability of opening/closing operation of the automatic door.
The prescribed area near the door is imaged by cameras 51, 52. The distance to each object in the acquired image is measured by a distance measuring part 53. The floor is detected by a floor detection part 54 based on the measured distance, and the position and the height of an object, except the floor, are detected by an object position height detection part 55. The opening/closing position of the door on the image is specified by a door position detection part 56 and a door position specification part 57, and the presence of an object other than the floor and except the door is discriminated by a discrimination part 58. When an object, other than the floor and except the door, is present in the image, an output part 59 outputs the object detecting signal, to thereby maintain the opening state of the door.
