Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow easy higher-speed rotation of a grinding tool with a simple processes and construction.
SOLUTION: This automatic engagement device 40 comprises a first detector 70 for detecting a phase difference between a rotation reference position of a workpiece shaft 50 and a detection position of a workpiece sensor 64 when rotating the workpiece shaft 50 in synchronization with a tool shaft 58 at a second low rotating speed, a second detector 72 for detecting a phase difference between the rotation reference position of the workpiece shaft 50 and the rotation reference position of the tool shaft 58 when rotating the workpiece shaft 50 in synchronization with the tool shaft 58 at a first high rotating speed, and an arithmetic circuit 74 for computing the initial learned phases of the grinding tool 60 and the workpiece W from the phase differences.
