To provide an automatic locking lock capable of preventing a latch stop shaft from being rotatively operated by people other than a rightful person's family.
The automatic locking lock supports a lock release lever 40 fitted into a lock case 10 to allow rocking between a locking position with its leading edge opposing the rear surface of a latch bolt 20 and a lock-release position retreating from the rear surface. An unlocking mechanism is installed so as to allow the lock release lever 40 to rock toward the lock release position by rocking in the lever handle release direction at the indoor side to be supported by the lock case 10 free to rock or by the unlocking operation of a cylinder lock supported by the lock case 10 so as to absorb the latch bolt 20 into a bolt insertion hole 18 after the rocking. The latch stop shaft 100 is prevented from being wrongfully rotatively operated by people other than the rightful person's family who possesses the operational key of the cylinder lock by fitting a maintenance mechanism that maintains the latch bolt 20 in an absorption position by the rotational operation of the latch stop shaft 100 in the unlocking mechanism operated by the cylinder lock.
