Abstract:
To cut down construction and maintenance cost by enabling the measurement of alteration with age and slight deformation.
A change in shape of a tank 1 installed in a base is controlled by an automatic measuring method for controlling the tank shape. A scan of a measuring target 5 located at a measuring point of the tank 1 starts from two known points positioned over the tank 1. A skew distance from each known point to the measuring point, and its vertical height are measured to calculate coordinates of the measuring point from the skew distance and vertical angle of the measuring point, and a horizontal distance between the aforesaid two known points.
