Abstract:

PURPOSE: To register attribute data correctly and in a short time by providing a function reading character strings and bar codes on paper by an OCR and a bar code reader and registering character data as attribute data.

CONSTITUTION: In the attribute registration of a CAD, the character strings read from an OCR (optical character reader) 2 and the character data read from a bar code reader 3 are registered as attribute data and composed for prescribed portions on an object drawing or in the drawing. The character strings on paper is read by the OCR 2 to be used as an input device and they are converted from raster data to character data. The converted character data is transmitted to a terminal 1 using a line 102. The transmitted data is registered as attribute data for the drawing prepared by the CAD soft of the terminal 1. Next, a form 4 in which the name of a maker, the type No. of the maker and drawing No. are entered at prescribed positions is read by a sheet of OCR 2.
