To provide an automatic scroll control device providing an interface that can easily support users' requirements without changing the appearance of a scroll bar.
The automatic scroll control device comprises: a display section 3 having a scroll bar display area 32 in which a knob indicating a scroll position is displayed; a display control section 23; an input section 1; a scroll control section 22; and an automatic scroll control section 21. In response to a scroll input operation in a scroll operation input area 11, the automatic scroll control section 21 delivers control information to the scroll control section 22 to allow the section 22 to perform scroll processing continuously. The scroll control section 22 performs scroll processing for an information display area 31 according to the control information received from the automatic scroll control section 21. The display control section 23 displays the screen having undergone the scroll processing on the display section 3 according to the results of scroll processing received from the scroll control section 22.
