Abstract:
PURPOSE: To dispense with an exclusive motor for, driving a can adapted to switch transmission of power force by an LF motor to the tractor in a serial printer equipped with a continuous form forwarding tractor.
CONSTITUTION: A slide gear 17 is disposed in a gear train from an LF motor gear 3 connected with an LF motor 1 to a platen gear 5, and by a transverse action of a carrier 19, It Is pressed by a push bar 20 so as to be transversely moved and thus to be freely connected with the platen gear 5 or can 11, whereby the can 11 is operated through action of the LF motor 1, with the result that the gear connection with the platen shaft 4 of a tractor 9 can be made into connection and disconnection.
