CONSTITUTION: The automatic ticket examining device consists of an automatic ticket examining machine 1 equipped with a read means 21 which reads in the encoded information of a thrown-in passenger ticket, a handicapped person decision means 25 which decides whether or not a user is a handicapped person according to the read-in information, a passage decision means 27 which decides the passage of the user, a control part 37 which sends a passage width variation command to a ticket examining machine moving device 3 according to the decision result of the handicapped person decision means 25, and a moving device communication part 33 which makes a communication with the ticket examining machine moving device 3, and the ticket examining machine moving device 3 equipped with a driving circuit 41 which moves the automatic ticket examining machine 1 and a ticket examining machine communication control part 43 which sends and receives commands, etc., to and from the automatic ticket examining machine 1 and controls the driving circuit 41.
