Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation of speed change by setting a semi-connection stop position to the connection side rather than the starting side in the acceleration of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of an accelerator pedalling amount detector 10, an engine rotational frequency detector 50, a position detector 54, a vehicle speed detector 58 and a shift position detector 60 is supplied to the input of an engine controlling circuit 12. When the vehicle is judged to be accelerated, a semi- connection stop position is set to the connection side rather than when it is judged to be starting, and in acceleration of an vehicle, the engagement of a clutch is started at the connection side further than the starting time. Thus, just after speed change the delay of clutch engagement is not produced so that same speed change operation as a skilled driver can be automatically carried out to facilitate the speed change operation.
