To provide an automatic transmission with a transmission case where the number of branch lines for lubricating oil is reduced and the length of each flow path is reduced.
The automatic transmission comprises a heat exchanger 200 for heat exchange between heat medium flowing on the outside of the automatic transmission and operating oil supplied to a plurality of predetermined supply positions in the automatic transmission, and the transmission case 5 having a mounting site for the heat exchanger 200 on the outside. The heat exchanger 200 has a flow-in port 202 into which the operating oil flows, and a plurality of flow-out ports 204a. 204b out of which the operating oil heat-exchanged with the heat medium flows. The transmission case 5 has a plurality of operating oil intake ports 5f, 5g connected to the corresponding flow-out ports 204a, 204b of the heat exchanger 200 mounted at the mounting site, respectively, and the plurality of flow paths for making the operating oil intake ports 5f, 5g communicate with the corresponding predetermined supply positions in the automatic transmission, respectively.
