Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission capable of shortening the moving time of a sleeve from an engagement position to a neutral position.SOLUTION: A transmission control unit 26 executes a "speed control" to control a speed of a sleeve 312 if the sleeve 312 at an engagement position Pe is to be moved to a neutral position Na and the sleeve 312 is located in a range from the engagement position Pe to a first target position Pa1 between the engagement position Pe and the neutral position Na, and executes a "position control" to control a position of the sleeve 312 if the sleeve 312 is located in a range from the first target position Pa1 to the neutral position Na. Furthermore, the transmission control unit 26 sets a "target speed" so that the speed of the sleeve 312 becomes lower as a distance of the sleeve 312 from the neutral position Na is smaller in the "speed control".
