Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten a gear shift time by a method wherein when, during operation of a lever, it is decided according to the present position of a lever and a shift direction that a gear shift is a key shift change, gear disengagement control is applied according to a lever position and thereafter, gear select control is continuously executed without confirming a gear neutral position.
CONSTITUTION: From a present lever position when a change lever 1 is operated and a shift direction, it is decided by a control unit C/U whether a gear shift is a gear shift change. When it is decided resultant from the decision that a key shift change is needed, after gear disengagement control is effected according to the position of the change lever 1, transfer to gear select control is performed but before the control is executed, a gear neutral position is not confirmed. Gear shift control is then executed subsequently to the gear select control. This constitution eliminates a time in which it is decided whether control into the neutral position of a gear is executed and shortens a gear shift time.
