Title:
AUTOMATIC VENDING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5468299
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the quantity of coins for change distributed for a single sale, when the sales amount is less than the amount corresponding to the banknotes of (N-x), while N pieces of banknotes are charged, by returning (x) pieces of banknotes, out of the banknotes charged, as part of the change.

CONSTITUTION: When a first banknote passes through a detector 7, rollers R1 to R9 start to rotate simultaneously to transfer the banknote a little. The starting end of this banknote is located between rollers R1 and R2, and the rear end is warped downward by 1/2 rotation of the rotor 6 to be in waiting state. When a next banknote passes the detector 7, the rollers R1 to R9 rotate for a certain period of time, and the roler 6 turns 1/2 revolution to set in waiting state. Thus, the banknotes in a pooling mechanism 5 are aligned in the overlapped state, shifting by a certain amount each. Suppose, when 5 pieces of banknotes are pooled (¥5000), a customer pushes a button for purchase of 2000 or 3000 yen merchandise, only the first and second banknotes P1, P2 are transferred to the return opening in front of the customer from the distributing mechanism 14 through a warping mechanism 15.
