Title:
AUTOMATING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ARRANGEMENT-INTEGRATION OF PRODUCT FOR PACKAGING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3844546
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a specified number and an arrangement for product units, and transfer the number and arrangement to a next packaging station by providing an arrangement-integration buffer which receives continuous products from the manufacturing line, and arrange-integrates a random variation in the product flow.
SOLUTION: A robot transfer device arranges 2×8 lines of products 20 on a conveyor belt 14, and the products 20 (a), (b), and (c) which are not acceptable or out of specification, by selectively discharging. The remaining products 20 (d) are mounted on a arrange-integrating buffer 230 which has a pair of pneumatic product following wheels 232, 234. The pair of the following wheels 232, 234 respectively advance in the direction shown by arrow C independently until the product flows are arranged- integrated, and when a product 20 (f) comes into contact with a product 20 (g), the following wheels 232, 234 stop and return to the initial locations. After the arrangement-integration of the products, the overall flow of the products returns to a specified place for the next robot process in the direction shown by arrow D. As a result, even when the flow of the products changes at random, the flow of the continuous products can be arrange-integrated.
