To provide an automobile headlamp capable of compensating for lack of a quantity of light by a small sub-reflector provided in the vicinity of a light source.
This headlamp is structured by providing a light source 32, a main reflector 20 placed in the rear of the light source 32 to reflect and distribute light emitted from the light source 32 to the front, a small sub- reflector 42 placed in the vicinity of the light source 32 to reflect the light emitted from the light source 32 so as to converge it, and a diffusing projection lens 46 to project and distribute the light reflected by the sub-reflector 42 by diffusing it right and left in the front, and light emitted to the rear from the light source 32 forms a first light distribution pattern P1 by being reflected and distributed to the front by the main reflector 20. The light emitted from the light source 32 and reflected by the sub-reflector 42 forms a second light distribution pattern P2 diffused right and left to supplement the first light distribution pattern P1 by being diffused and reflected right and left in the front by the diffusing projection lens 46.
