Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an automobile underhood part excellent in heat resistance, oil resistance, impact resistance, metal salt resistance, etc., by constituting it from a composition containing a polar functional group-containing thermoplastic resin and a specified block copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A polar functional group-containing thermoplastic resin (A) (e.g., nylon 6) is mixed with a copolymer (B) composed of vinylaromatic compound polymer blocks and olefin compound polymer blocks, having functional groups being bondable with or capable of interacting upon component A and optionally having a radical-degradable polymer as a graft part. An automobile underhood part is constituted mainly from the obtained composition. Examples of component B include a reaction product of melt-kneading a hydrogenated styrene/butadiene block copolymer with butyl rubber maleic anhydride, etc.
