Abstract:
To provide accessory functions that can be practised to produce commercially significant levels of rAAV virion particles without generating significant levels of infectious adenovirus or other contaminating by-products.
Provided are nucleic acid molecules providing accessory functions supporting efficient recombinant AAV (rAAV) virion production in suitable host cells. The molecules are in the form of one or more vectors comprising a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of (i) a sequence that provides adenovirus VARNAs, (ii) an adenovirus E4ORF6 coding region, (iii) an adenovirus E2a 72 kD coding region, and any combination of (i), (ii) and (iii).
