Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably attach a permanent magnet to a disc-shaped base material of a rotor in an axial gap type rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: The axial gap type rotary electric machine includes a stator 2 and a rotor 3. The rotor 3 includes a disk-shaped base material 31 and a plurality of magnetic pole units P each of which forms one magnetic pole. A magnetic pole unit P includes a permanent magnet 4 and a fixing member 5 for fixing the permanent magnet 4 to the base material 31. The permanent magnet 4 is divided into a plurality of magnet small pieces 41 to 43. Conical recesses serving as engaged portions are respectively formed at both circumferential end portions of the magnet pieces 41 to 43. The fixing members 5 are a plurality of countersunk head screws, and the magnet pieces 41 to 43 are fixed to the base material in such a manner that each recess is locked by each countersunk head screw.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
