Abstract:
To provide a rotor assembly for a motor which improves motor efficiency and reduces cogging torque.
The rotor assembly for the motor comprises a nearly cylindrical rotor body having a nearly cylindrical surface facing a clearance between the rotor assembly and a stator of the motor, and a permanent magnet inserted and fitted to the rotor body. A notch 20 is formed on the opposite surface of the rotor body to the clearance from the stator to control the distribution of magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet.
