Abstract:
To provide a stable composition as a colorant for a resist of a color filter etc., the composition being obtained by microparticulation of a pigment composition containing an organic pigment and highly increasing the concentration of the pigment composition without causing coagulation, sedimentation and viscosity increase over time.SOLUTION: An azo compound having structure represented by formula (1) or salt thereof is provided. In the formula (1), Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or an ethyl group. M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, an alkali earth metal atom or a -NZZZZgroup. Zto Zrepresent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a hydroxy alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an aralkyl group, a cycloalkyl group having 5 or 6 carbon atoms, an aryl group or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms substituted by a cycloalkyl group having 5 or 6 carbon atoms.SELECTED DRAWING: None
