PURPOSE: To enable power supply for memory even when a battery is removed by additionally providing a capacitor to be charged with electromotive force of solar cells.
CONSTITUTION: Memory terminals 31B, 32B, 33B are connected with + terminal of battery 2 and + terminal of a capacitor 4. Solar cells 3 are connected so that electromotive force is applied onto the capacitor 4 through a reverse blocking diode 51. The capacitor 4 is normally charged with the electromotive force of the solar cells 5. When the terminal of the battery 2 is removed, power supply from the battery 2 to electronic controllers 31, 32, 33 is interrupted. But power supply to internal memories is continued through the capacitor 4 and the contents in the memories are not erased thus realizing backup.
