Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fixation between a backup ring and a seal ring by using a material used for the backup ring different from that of the seal ring, and forming the backup ring of a material including fluororesin.
SOLUTION: A backup ring 4 is arranged on the inside diametral surface side of a seal ring 3 used for sealing oil, air, inert gas and fluid such as a refrigerant. A material used for the backup ring 4 is a material different from that of the seal ring 3, and the backup ring 4 is formed of a material including fluororesin. The reason why the material of the backup ring 4 is different from that of the seal ring 3 is for preventing fixation between the seal ring 3 and the backup ring 4 by the wear power of the seal ring 3. Especially, materials such as tetrafluoroethylene resin, tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkylvinylether copolymer, tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer and tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer, are more preferably used.
