Abstract:

PURPOSE: To surely perform lockup of a clutch by preventing generation of loss of tightening force when a vehicle is in an inertia traveling mode.
CONSTITUTION: This clutch is provided with an operating ring 18 imparting an axial moving of a pressure plate 12 and a control ring 16 adjacent to this operating ring 18. On a surface in which these rings 18 and 16 face each other, plural pairs of grooves 22A, 23A; 22B, 22C extending in a circumferential direction and facing each other are provided and each one roller member 20 A is arranged and the operating ring 18 is axially moved so as to be away from the control ring 16 by relative angle moving of the operating ring 18 and the control ring 16. Further, the clutch is provided with a ball ramp mechanism 5 axially displacing the pressure plate 12 adjacent via a spring 24 and tightening a clutch disk 9 between a flywheel 4 and the pressure plate 12. As a result, disconnection of the clutch is prevented when the vehicle is in the inertia traveling mode and the loss is eliminated.
