Abstract:

PURPOSE: To change the transmission capacity without interrupting a communication circuit by changing a band after confirming acquisition of the signal area allocation information of an optical signal frame.
CONSTITUTION: An operation system 103 sends the increase/decrease of transmission capacity allocated to the branch devices 105 to 107 of an optical signal frame to center device 102 as a band change instruction. The device 102 updates the signal area information to read the signal areas allocated to the devices 105 to 107. Then the device 120 outputs the new signal area allocation information to the devices 105 to 107. Receiving the signal allocation information, the devices 105 to 107 sends the answer signals to the device 102. The device 102 receives the answer signals from the devices 105 to 107 and outputs the signals to the devices 105 to 107 to allow them to use the acquired new signal area allocation information. Then the device 102 uses the new signal area allocation information to increase or decrease the set store paths and also the signal areas allocated to the devices 105 to 107 based on the optional timing information.
