Abstract:
To provide a band saw machine that does not easily break a body of a band saw blade even if the band saw machine is a type that performs cutting by twisting the band saw blade.SOLUTION: A band saw machine (91) comprises: a first wheel (31) which applies a tensile force to a band saw blade (5) and correctly tracks, and a second wheel (32) which is located below the first wheel (31); a first torsion part (33) that moves from the first wheel (31) and is located in a wheel section (LA) leading to the second wheel (32) in a travel route of the band saw blade (5), and twists up the band saw blade (5) at a prescribed torsion angle (θa); and a second torsion part (34) that is located in the wheel section (LA), and twists back the band saw blade (5), which has been twisted up by the first torsion part (33), by only the prescribed torsion angle (θa). A cutting position (P1) of a work-piece (A) by the band saw blade (5) exists in a torsion posture maintenance section (L2) between the first torsion part (33) and the second torsion part (34), and the prescribed torsion angle (θa) is 10° or more and 30° or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
