Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent damage to the packing of a barrel cap and leakage of the content by a method wherein rotation is transmitted to a tightening member via a universal joint, spline spindle, etc., and when the tightening torque of the barrel cap reaches a set value, the tightening member is brought to a halt.
CONSTITUTION: A centering member 32 performs centering of a barrel 1 and fixes it. A first cylinder 20 operates and lowers a tightening device 4 and a tightening head to connect tightening claws of the tightening member to the connecting part of a barrel cap. Then, a motor of the tightening device 4 is started and the rotation of the motor is transmitted to the tightening member via a universal joint, a spline spindle 11, a ball adaptor, etc., to tighten the barrel cap. The tightening torque of the barrel cap is detected by a torque sensor and sent to a tightening control panel 50. When the tightening torque detected reaches the set value, the motor is stopped to bring the tightening member to a halt.
