Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a surface protective film for an automobile in which a longitudinal tear strength is greatly improved and further which has excellent heat resistance and coating properties of adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: A multilayer film has outer and inner layers made of polypropylene resin or a mixture of 100 pts.wt. of polypropylene resin, 10-20 pts.wt. of polyethylene and/or 10-30 pts.wt. of ethylene-α-olefin elastomer resin, and an intermediate layer made of straight-chain low-density polyethylene (particularly preferably copolymer of ethylene and 6-8C α-olefin). Further, a base material film to be used for a surface protective film for an automobile has a longitudinal tear strength of the multilayer film of 20g/cm or more.
