This electronic appliance is provided with a rail and a guide groove, which are formed at the body 1 of a portable electronic appliance, a guide groove and a rail formed at a position corresponding to the rail and the guide groove of the body 1, and is formed, so that the rail and the guide groove of the body 1 may be sliding-fitted in the guide groove and the rail of a battery case 2 and so as to be locked in a fitted condition by a locking mechanism. Whereas a locking releasing member is attached, in which a spring member 25 and an operating control member 23 are formed integrally with each other, and the locking mechanism is formed, so as to be released by operating the operating control member 23 against the elasticity of the spring member 25.
