Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging rate estimation apparatus for a battery capable of suppressing reduction in estimation precision of a charging rate of the battery even if a current sensor has an offset error of current detection.SOLUTION: A charging rate estimation apparatus for a battery includes: charging/discharging current detection means 2 for a battery 1; terminal voltage detection means 3; state estimation means 4 for estimating an open circuit voltage that is a state quantity, from a charging/discharging current and a terminal voltage detected by the charging/discharging current detection means 2 and the terminal voltage detection means 3 on the basis of at least a detection error caused by an offset of the charging/discharging current detection means 2 and a current detection means/battery/model MSB having the open circuit voltage of the battery 1 as the state quantity; and charging rate estimation means 5 for determining a charging rate SOC of the battery 1 from the open circuit voltage OCV estimated by the state estimation means 4.
