Title:
BATTERY CONTROL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3841001
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery control system capable of suppressing unevenness of battery voltage of a cell, reducing power consumption, and leaving a battery pack for a long time.
SOLUTION: A system control part 11 has a timer 15 for turning a switch 16 on for 10 seconds per week, and a battery control part 10 has a CMOS timer IC. When the set battery 9 is left unused for a week, the timer 15 operates the system control part 11 and the battery control part 10 for 10 seconds. The battery control part 10 measures a voltage of an open circuit of each cell to transmit the value to the system control part 11 during 10 seconds. The system control part 11 calculates bypass discharge time to transmit a bypass discharge time value to the battery control part 10 in order to start capacity adjustment of the cell by a capacity adjusting circuit. After 10 seconds elapse, the switch 16 is turned off, and the battery control system enters a low power consumption state excepting the capacity adjusting circuit.
