Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reinforcing a strength member on the vehicle side portion, by securing an end portion of the battery on its outer side relative to the vehicle to the strength member on the vehicle side portion. SOLUTION: In this structure, a center pillar 21 is provided as a strength member on the vehicle side portion in the vehicle vertical direction. The center pillar 21 has a center pillar inner 22 and center pillar outer 23 bonded with each other and has a closed section 24 extending in the vehicle vertical direction. Further, the center pillar 21 connects a lower side sill and an upper roof side portion in the vertical direction. On the left and right sides of a tunnel portion, batteries 25, 25 for driving an electric motor are installed on a battery housing floor 9. Each of the left and right batteries 25, 25 is installed on the battery housing floor 9 by disposing in the vehicle width direction at a position corresponding to below a front seat, and the installation structure is laterally symmetrical.
