Abstract:
To provide a battery management device capable of preventing battery exhaustion of an auxiliary battery without increasing power consumption of a vehicle being parked, and a battery management method.SOLUTION: A battery management device comprises an acquisition unit, a determination unit, a storage unit and a command unit. The acquisition unit receives and acquires from a vehicle voltages of an auxiliary battery at time points in which the vehicle is powered off and powered on. The determination unit determines a state of the auxiliary battery on the basis of the voltages acquired by the acquisition units. The storage unit stores the state of the auxiliary battery. During a period in which the vehicle is powered off, the command unit transmits to the vehicle a command for charging the auxiliary battery from a main battery on the basis of the state of the auxiliary battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
