To suppress movement and displacement of an electrode laminate including a positive electrode layer, a negative electrode layer and a separator layer inside an exterior packaging body and prevent electric short circuit between a metal layer and the electrode laminate in the exterior packaging body in a battery.
A battery 100 includes: a separator layer 2; an electrode laminate 3 which includes a positive electrode layer 1a and a negative electrode layer 1b holding the separator layer 2 therebetween and overlapped with each other; and an exterior packaging body 4 surrounding the electrode laminate 3. The separator layer 2 includes a non-covered part 2a which is not covered with the positive electrode layer 1a and the negative electrode layer 1b on a part of an outer periphery of the separator layer 2 and a through hole 6 is provided in the non-covered part 2a. The exterior packaging body 4 is made of a pair of laminate films 4a or one folded laminate film 4a including a thermal fusing resin and a metal layer, and the laminate films 4a are fused to each other through the through hole 6 of the non-covered part 2a of the separator layer 2.
