To provide a battery mounting structure for a vehicle capable of attaining protection of a battery and increase of a battery mounting capacity.
In the battery mounting structure on the vehicle, a battery mounting tray 2 of a box-like shape having a first mounting part 6 and a second mounting part 7 for mounting a plurality of batteries 1 with level difference in a vehicle height direction is mounted/fixed to a vehicle skeleton frame 4 such that the first mounting part 6 is arranged below a floor and the second mounting part 7 is arranged on a rear suspension 5. In the battery mounting structure, a pair of first reinforcement members 10 provided extendingly in a vehicle longitudinal direction so as to be approximately laid along a rear side member 9 constituting the vehicle skeleton frame; and a second reinforcement member 12 for connecting front ends of the first reinforcement members 10 to each other in a vehicle width direction are provided on the battery mounting tray 2.
