Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack 100 that is able to efficiently cool batteries 5 by hindering stagnation of air flowing on the surfaces of the batteries (battery cells or battery module) 5.SOLUTION: A battery pack 100 composed of an assembly of batteries 5 arranged in layers has: a plurality of spaces 6 in which a current of cooling air flows between the batteries 5; and bus bars 19 connecting the terminals of the batteries 5 in series. In each space 6, the respective side faces 21 of the batteries 5 face each other. The respective positions of the end parts 22 of the side faces 21 where a current of cooling air flows in are displaced between adjacent batteries 5. By displacing the respective positions of the end parts 22 between adjacent batteries 5, a current of cooling air flowing in each gap 6 can be disturbed, thus reducing the area of the side face 21 of each battery 5, where a current of cooling air stagnates, that is, the area where dissipation of each battery 5 stagnates. Accordingly, a battery pack 100 that can efficiently dissipate heat generation of each battery 5 by use of a current of cooling air can be obtained.
