Abstract:
To provide a packing material for a battery which is high in piercing strength and excellent even in electrolyte resistance.SOLUTION: A packing material for a battery is constituted of a laminate including at least, a base material layer, stainless steel foil, and a thermally adhesive resin layer in this order. An acid-resistant coating layer is formed in at least the thermally adhesive resin layer side of the stainless steel foil. The acid-resistant coating layer contains a phosphorus compound of 100 mg or more in terms of phosphorus per 1 m2 of the surface of the stainless steel foil.SELECTED DRAWING: None
